The Eco Assembly of New York is a peoples’ gathering within the Hudson/Mahicanituck watershed bioregion. Our purpose is to honor our responsibility to support a thriving and regenerative watershed based on ecocentric principles of community self-governance. We recognize our interdependence with all life within the watershed, including but not limited to human life, and strive to create paths to rebalance the ecology of our place.

We are moved to restore relations between water, land, people and all other life along the Hudson watershed. We seek to create community conversation by fostering local discussion about the scale of the ecological crisis we are living in. We do this by creating ways of listening and telling about these relations. We seek to learn together with and about community, and in doing so imagine and propose paths into the future by defining and honoring community-governance and responsibilities.
